YEMA airborne once again!
The aviation world has been a great source of inspiration for YEMA since its creation in 1948, specially for its iconic FLYGRAF collection. Being a historic partner of the CNES (French National Center for Space studies) since 1982 and after obtaining, once again an official partnership with the French Air Force in 2020, YEMA now welcomes a new ambassador, Samy Mason. The French watchmaker and this talented professional aerobatic pilot from California introduce the Flygraf Pilot M1 and M2. Available for pre-order as from Monday 6th July 2020 at €690. Shipping mid July 2020.
Designed jointly with professional aerobatic pilot Sammy Mason, the Flygraf Pilot inspires from both Flieger and military field watches from the Second World War. Featuring a military-inspired highly legible dark dial with contrasting white printing, the Flygraf Pilot is easy to read under any conditions, specially in darkness thanks to a thick Super-Luminova treatment.
Thanks to its prominent steel brushed bezel, sporty crown guards and its 990 feet water resistance, the Flygraf Pilot results in an extremely versatile tool watch that will accompany pilots and field watch amateurs in all their air & ground adventures.
Young Aerobatic Professional Pilot
It took Samy, son and grandson of pilots, only 3 days after his birth to board the family Piper Club flown by his mother. Now 26 years old, Sammy has over 3200 flight hours on nearly 60 different aircrafts. At only 19, Samy becomes the youngest American aerobatic team member in the advanced category and wins his first title. At 21, he did it once again by joining the EAA AIR Venture and again in the Red Bull Air Race where he became the youngest pilot to fly in this world-renowned competition.
With 12 prizes obtained, Sammy continues to have fun in the air through numerous competitions and today accepts a new challenge by collaborating with a watchmaker in order to design a brand new Flygraf. Thought and drawn in collaboration with Samy Mason, the Flygraf M1 and M2 are designed for all enthusiasts of the aviation world.

Since 1948 YEMA designs sports watches specifically for Diving, Car Racing, Aviation and Sailing. Our workshops are based in the town of Morteau at the heart of France’s watch craftsmanship region, in a secluded valley in the Jura mountains just a few miles away from Switzerland’s La Chaux-de-Fonds. YEMA is run by a third generation watchmakers‘ family with a team averaging +30 years of service. Design, prototyping and assembling is manually and precisely taken care of at our workshops by highly experienced French traditional watchmakers.
