Reissue of the iconic French diver watch YEMA Superman reference 53.00.16 initially released in 1970 as an indestructible measurement tool for diving professionals. With its distinct resolutely vintage design, this exclusive bronze edition is limited to 1948 collector’s time pieces so as to commemorate YEMA's year of foundation. Each timepiece is truly unique as it will patina differently depending on its use and its exposure to weather conditions. Each watch will have a natural vintage look with all the advantages of modern mechanical diving features.
Yema’s in-house self-winding mechanical movement is entirely designed, developed and assembled at our Morteau workshops in France. It beats at 28,800 A/h and has a power reserve of 45 hours.
The Superman Heritage Bronze is made available with a sapphire domed crystal making it more scratch-resistant and vintage looking
The bezel is fully made in bronze with a radial brushed finishing. It has a 60 minutes graduation with engraved markers every 5 minutes.
The unique Superman bezel-lock at 3 o'clock has proven very useful to professional divers and is found on all Superman models since 1963
The iconic Superman seconds hand with its head shaped like a shovel is exactly the same used in the 1970's original model along the historic arrow-shaped minutes hand
The caseback beautifully displays YEMA's historic coat of arms, forged with a hydraulic press. We have privileged stainless steel over bronze in order to avoid potential skin allergies
This brown vintage leather strap, with a superficial patina, enhances the Superman Heritage Bronze overall vintage look. It perfectly fits the bronze case natural patina.
The hands and markers are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova so as to offer perfect readability in low light conditions.
Les aiguilles et les index sont revêtus de Super-LumiNova. La Superman héritage Blue offre donc une parfaite lisibilité dans l'obscurité.

The Superman Heritage Bronze has been designed and tested with professional diver and marine activist Hugues Vitry. His first dive watch in 1982 was a YEMA Navygraf that he still uses regularly.
